A little late today, but that's because I was working late on Christmas gifts for my folks. Which makes me happy indeed.

Lunch: (Veggie) Chili Dogs

Dinner: Cappelini pasta with textured vegetable protein and sauce

Yum!

Today it was all about the simple things. Like a nice nap in the afternoon followed by some quality time with the little lady. Aw yeah.

Day the third.

Well, the geekiness continues, what can I say? I was quite surprised and gladdened to win a little award of recognition for my gaming blog, which I also linked to on my first day's post. Good week for gaming!

Continuing with letting the good times roll...

Today, I was really happy to be able to get up early and get in a full day. Seems like a minor thing, but for nearly the past year (since January!) I've been working on a project with a weekly Monday morning deadline. That project has finally wrapped up, so this was the first Monday in 10 months where I wasn't up late the night before, fiendishly finishing up my work, thereby requiring me to sleep in on Monday morning--a day in which I have to go to bed early that night thanks to an early morning shift at the library on Tuesday. So basically my Mondays this year have been pretty much 11 or 12 hour days at best. Poo on that!

So yeah, getting up early today was great. I got to get more done, I got to chill, I got to see more of my Desi (even if she's been working on a paper all day, we still get to have little interactions throughout the day). Good times.
